Hi, I’m Ellie.

I’m a military spouse, a mama to one little girl, and the photographer behind Film By Farris. Creativity has always been a part of who I am, and photography gives me a way to hold onto the moments that otherwise pass too quickly.

I’m drawn to genuine connection, movement, laughter, tiny details and all the in-between moments that make your story feel like yours. My editing is warm, natural and a little nostalgic—focused on preserving your memories honestly and beautifully.

For first yawns, tiny fingers, hospital bracelets and sleepy snuggles. Cozy, relaxed and authentic—wherever your family feels most comfortable.

Family pricing includes up to 6 people. Additional guests are $20 per person. Travel through Big Pine Key is included; please inquire for pricing beyond Big Pine.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I receive my photos?

Sneak peeks arrive within 72 hours. Your full gallery will be delivered within 1–2 weeks, depending on your session.

What happens if it rains?

Key West weather changes quickly, so I’ll keep an eye on the forecast. If conditions would negatively affect your photos or aren’t safe to shoot in, we’ll reschedule at no additional cost.

Can you help us choose a location?

Absolutely. I have location recommendations and I’m happy to help, but the final choice is always yours.

What is required to book?

A 30% non-refundable retainer reserves your date. The remaining balance is due the day of your session.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

Life gets busy. Reach out and I’ll do my best to work with you on a new date. Cancellations are not refunded and the 30% retainer remains non-refundable.

Can we bring our dog?

Yes! Dogs are family too.

Can I print my photos?

Absolutely. Your gallery includes high-resolution digital images with personal printing rights, so you’re welcome to download, share and print your favorites.

Will I receive RAW or unedited images?

RAW and unedited files aren’t delivered. Editing is part of my creative process and the finished photographs are the completed Film By Farris work.

Will my gallery include black-and-white photos?

It may! Galleries can include a thoughtfully curated mix of color and black-and-white photographs based on what best fits each image.
